The mother of a Spartan army general in the Roman army was converted to Christianity by a companion of Saint Paul named John (aka Mark), also known as John Mark, who wrote the Gospel at the request of the Roman followers of Saint Peter [the Gospel according to Mark], after St. Peter was crucified. Mark and his cousin Barnabas were followers of Paul first and later followed Peter after Paul was arrested.
What a gift for you to know that John, who so incredibly shared his story of knowing Jesus Christ and who was given Revelation, was known by your ancestor and became a believer by his testimony! It is a rich heritage!
